TURKISH AIRLINES LAUNCHES DIRECT FLIGHTS BETWEEN ISTANBUL AND ZANZIBAR

Turkish Airlines is expanding its presence in Africa with direct flights launched between Istanbul and Zanzibar.

We are delighted to open the new route to Zanzibar, a truly remarkable destination.

We continually seek out opportunities to expand our network and look forward to welcoming our passengers on their way to Zanzibar in the near future,” Ahmet Olmu, Chief marketing officer at Turkish Airlines said.

Beginning this week Zanzibar flights will be operated three times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, in both directions.

Following the addition of Zanzibar, Turkish Airlines will now be flying to 293 destinations worldwide; 50 of which are in Africa. 

These include the east African city hubs of Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Nairobi, Mogadishu, Djibouti, Asmara, Addis Ababa, Kigali, Entebbe and Zanzibar.

Introductory round trip fares from Istanbul to Zanzibar start at $636 (including taxes and fees).
