TOSHIBA LAUNCHES `GO AFRICA’ PROJECT IN TANZANIA

TOSHIBA has launched `Go Africa’ project to expand its storage business in the country.
Launching the project, Toshiba General Manager for Middle East and Africa Digital Products and Services, Mr Santosh Varghese Toshiba, has been investing on an average 6 per cent of their revenue in research and development for innovating new products and technologies.
“We are happy to be launching our ‘Go Africa’ initiatives in Tanzania to enhance customer experience for Toshiba storage products by offering the latest technology and product by empowering our channel partners with the necessary product and sales skills,” Mr Varghese said.
He said that also the project would increase portfolio with latest products and technologies across various products category.
He added that as part of the ‘Go Africa’ project to expand its products in the country operations in all emerging economic across Africa for its storage business, Toshiba Gulf FZE will be showcasing its latest range of products in the storage portfolio, which includes person storage products like external HDD, internal HDDs, SSD, SD cards, Micro SD cards and Flash USB drives.
He said that Toshiba aim to capture number one market share within 2017 in Tanzania in order to expand its storage business in the country. “We assured our customer for good and quality products that will go with today’s science and technology and it will improve its services to its customer in Tanzania and across Africa,” he explained.
Toshiba was founded in 1875 and today operates a global network of more than 550 consolidated companies with 202,000 employees worldwide and annual sales surpassing 6.1 trillion yen (USD 74 billion).
