Speaking during the kick off meeting held in Dar es Salaam recently, Head of Human Resources of the Bank, Mr. Frederick Kanga said “This is a special program which is very transparent, initiated by the Bank with an intention of discovering the wealth of the Human Capital which the Bank has, and later utilize that wealth to bring about the intended transformation and sustainability.’’

Based on this philosophy, the Bank believes that availability of strong foundation of talent pool is a major success factor for both business growth and business continuity,” said Mr. Kanga.

In order to make this initiative successful, the Management has designed a transparent identification process with clear guidelines for mobilization of the talent pool. A Talent Management Committee has been formed to monitor the process of identification and later the progress of the identified High Potentials.

Initially, the Management has identified a list of 16 High Potentials from across the Bank who have also been assigned mentors to assist them in shaping up their career aspirations with the Bank and guide them on how to capitalize the available opportunities. The management continues with the efforts to search for the available High Potentials and employees have been urged to remain focused, perform their duties efficiently and continue being innovative.
